The Nayland semi flush is a ceiling light with a bell of green fluted glass: fine vertical ribs run down to a flared, softly scalloped rim, and the glass glows a warm green when the light is on. It hangs from a short turned neck of wood in a walnut tone, set on a dark wood disc and a round brass finish ceiling plate, the same pairing of brass and wood as the Blakeney ceiling light.
It is made in the same style of green fluted glass as the Nayland wall light, so the two can be used together, for example the ceiling light in a hallway and the wall lights on the stairs. Because it sits close to the ceiling, it suits cottages, landings, bedrooms and rooms with low ceilings, where a pendant would hang too low.
The shade is 18 cm wide and the light is about 16 cm deep from the ceiling. The ceiling plate is 12 cm across. It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included, and it is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

How far does it come down from the ceiling?
About 16 cm from the ceiling to the bottom of the glass, so it suits rooms with low ceilings and hallways where a pendant would be in the way.
Is a bulb included?
No. It takes one E27 bulb. A warm white LED bulb of around 2700K suits the green glass best and keeps the shade cool.
Does it go with the Nayland wall light?
