The Hintlesham wall light is a classic English bedroom and hallway light: a slim arm that curves up from a round wall plate, topped with a tapered natural linen shade. The linen softens the bulb into an even, warm glow and gives a room the relaxed feel of a country house.
The arm comes about 10 cm out from a 12 cm wall plate and turns up into a straight stem, holding the shade upright so the light falls both up and down the wall. Choose antique brass for warmth in a cottage or period home, or black for a crisper look against pale walls. Buy one for a reading chair or a landing, or a matching pair for either side of a bed.
The shade is 15 cm across at the base and 17 cm tall, and the light is about 42 cm tall and reaches about 18 cm from the wall. Each light takes one E27 bulb, not included, up to 40 W; a warm white LED bulb of around 2700K suits the linen. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains and dry indoor rooms, to be installed by a qualified electrician, with the shade at the top.

Both. Choose Single for one light, or Pair for two matching lights, the usual choice for either side of a bed. Each light has its own wall plate, arm and linen shade.
What bulb does it take?
Each light takes one E27 bulb, not included, up to 40 W. A warm white LED bulb of around 2700K suits the linen shade and keeps it cool.
Can it go in a bathroom?
It has no IP rating, so keep it to dry rooms such as bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and landings. For a bathroom, choose a light rated IP44 or higher.
