The Bures is a small Tiffany style pendant light: a dome of coloured glass pieces set in dark leading, which glows like a lantern when it is lit and stays colourful when it is off. It hangs from an antique brass tone lamp holder on a light gold twisted fabric cord that adjusts up to 150 cm, so it can hang low over a table or beside a bed, or be shortened almost to the ceiling.
Choose from three designs. Floral has a ring of white, yellow, red and pink flowers with amber centres above green leaves, 15.5 cm across. Teardrop is made of long leaf and teardrop shaped pieces in soft pink, yellow and pale blue, with deep cobalt drops around the hem, 16 cm across. Sunflower is the classic amber design, a large sunflower with golden leaves below ivory panes, 15.5 cm across. Hang one beside a bed or over a breakfast table, or mix the three in a row over a kitchen island.
The shades are 13.5 to 15 cm tall and the round canopy is 10 cm across. It takes one E27 bulb, not included; a warm white LED bulb of around 2700K brings out the colours of the glass. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician, and spare cord can be trimmed or stored in the canopy.

Chosen for the finish
We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.
Built for real rooms
We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
Frequently asked questions
Which design should I choose?
Floral is the brightest, with white, yellow, red and pink flowers. Teardrop has soft pastels with deep cobalt drops around the hem. Sunflower is the warm, classic amber design. All three share the same cord and holder, so they can be mixed in a row.
Can I shorten the cord?
Yes. The cord adjusts up to 150 cm, and any spare can be trimmed by your electrician or stored inside the 10 cm canopy, so the shade can hang low over a table or sit close to the ceiling.
Is a bulb included?
No. It takes one E27 bulb. A warm white LED bulb of around 2700K brings out the colours of the glass and keeps the shade cool.
