The Woodbridge is a flush ceiling light with a wide, shallow saucer of clear glass, pressed with fine flutes that run from the centre out to a rippled, scalloped rim. It hangs from a short brass finish rod and knurled lamp holder under a round brass canopy, with the bulb sitting just inside the saucer so the whole sheet of glass lights up and throws fine lines across the ceiling.
At 28 cm across and only about 13 cm from the ceiling, it gives a generous spread of light without taking up any headroom, which makes it a natural choice for hallways, landings and bedrooms with low ceilings, and for anywhere a pendant would hang too far down.
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included, and it is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains.

Will it suit a low ceiling?
Yes, that is what it is for. The light sits only about 13 cm from the ceiling, so it works on ceilings of 2.2 m and up, and on landings and in hallways where a pendant would hang too low. It is hardwired and should be fitted by a qualified electrician in place of your existing ceiling fitting.
Is a bulb included?
No, plan on one E27 bulb. The bulb sits inside the saucer and is visible through the clear glass, so a decorative filament or globe bulb of around 2700K looks best and keeps the glare down.
How much light does it give?
The saucer is 28 cm across, so it spreads light widely rather than throwing it down in a narrow pool. With a 6 to 8 W LED filament bulb it will light a hallway or a bedroom on its own; for a large living room, pair it with lamps.
