The Hoxne wall light hangs a frosted glass tulip shade with a softly ruffled rim from a slim arm and a round wall plate. The arm ends in a swivel knuckle, so the shade can be angled through 180 degrees to point the light where you want it, down over a bedside table or a mirror, or out along a hallway.
Frosted glass hides the bulb and turns it into a soft, even glow, and the ruffled edge gives the shade a delicate, old fashioned look that suits cottages, Victorian terraces and period bedrooms. Choose an antique brass finish for warmth, or black for a crisper look against pale walls. A pair either side of a bed or a mirror looks especially good.
The shade is 16.5 cm wide and 10.5 cm deep. The light stands 26 cm tall, reaches about 26.5 cm from the wall on a 15 cm arm, and fixes to a round 12 cm wall plate. It takes one E27 bulb, not included, and it is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

Can I angle the shade?
Yes. The arm ends in a swivel knuckle, so the shade can be tilted through 180 degrees: down over a bedside table or a mirror, or turned out to light a hallway.
Is a bulb included?
No. It takes one standard E27 bulb. A warm white LED bulb of around 2700K looks best behind the frosted glass and keeps the shade cool.
Can it go in a bathroom?
It has no IP rating, so fit it outside the bath and shower zones, for example beside a basin mirror away from splashes. Your electrician will confirm the right position.
