The Stradbroke is a semi flush ceiling light with a plump, rounded mushroom shade of glossy glass, 28 cm across, on a short stem and a round ceiling plate in a brass finish. Its soft curves and warm colours are a nod to 1970s lighting, and it brings a friendly glow to hallways, bedrooms and kitchens.
The glass is coloured on the outside and white inside, so the shade glows gently while the open base sends clear light down into the room. Choose caramel for a warm, honey toned glow, opal for a soft cloud of white light, or sage green for a calm, fresh look with painted woodwork.
The shade is 28 cm wide and the light is 16 cm tall, on a 12 cm ceiling plate, so it sits close to the ceiling and suits rooms with low ceilings. It comes with a warm white E27 LED bulb. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

A honey glow in the pantry
In caramel, the rounded shade warms a narrow pantry or corridor with soft, golden light.
Soft light for the bedroom
The opal shade glows like a small cloud, a gentle light to end the day by.
Sage green for the hallway
Pale green glass suits painted walls and a chequered floor, close to a low ceiling.

Chosen for the finish
We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.
Built for real rooms
We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
Frequently asked questions
Is a bulb included?
Yes. Each light comes with a warm white E27 LED bulb. You can swap it for any E27 bulb; to dim the light, use a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch.
Which colour should I choose?
Caramel gives a warm, honey coloured glow and suits wood, terracotta and cream. Opal is a soft milky white that goes with anything. Sage green suits painted kitchens, panelling and period hallways. All three are white inside, so the light below is a clean warm white.
Will it suit a low ceiling?
Yes. It is 16 cm tall in all and sits close to the ceiling, so it suits hallways, landings, box rooms and cottages where a pendant would hang too low.
