The Strand is a slim 50 cm rod of brushed gold aluminium that glows softly along its length, held to the wall by a round magnetic disc. It runs on a rechargeable battery, so there is no wiring and no electrician.

The rod turns a full 360 degrees on its disc: hang it upright beside a bed or in a hallway, set it level above a console, or tilt it on an angle as a sculptural accent. It lifts off its magnetic plate to charge, then clicks back into place.

Switch it on, dim it and change between warm, neutral and cool white with the remote. It gives a soft wash of light on the wall rather than a bright beam, ideal for hallways, landings and bedrooms.

Mounting height guide

Hallways and landings: centre the disc around 150 to 170 cm from the floor
Beside a bed: centre it 70 to 90 cm above the mattress
Above a console or sideboard: set it level, 30 to 50 cm above the top
Size: 50 cm long

No wiring: the round disc screws to the wall with the fixings supplied
The light attaches magnetically and lifts off to charge
No electrician needed
Check for hidden pipes and cables before drilling

Rechargeable battery, charged with the USB cable supplied
No wiring, no electrician and no plug socket needed
Battery life depends on the brightness you choose
Recharge it in place or take it down to charge
Remote control for on and off, dimming and light colour

★★★★★

Excellent light. The bronze/brass colour looks expensive. The 3 different shades of light and the low to high brightness are a very nice touch. These look great in my kitchen.

The product came very well packaged, it is perfect, comes with two installation methods, one is with screws and it comes with 2 screws and 2 plugs, and with 3M type glue I found it a bit heavy to just use the glue, you also have to release it to charge and use a very strong magnet that holds the ring on the wall. I loved everything, it already comes with the charging cable but you need a power source.

High-quality product, option for both drilling and using double-sided adhesive. 3 lighting modes with remote control. Pleasant light that is not too bright

Chosen for the finish

We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.

Built for real rooms

We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
