The Rendham is a pendant light with a bell shaped shade of pressed glass, embossed all round with roses and leaves. A lace like ruffle edges the top rim and the hem flares out into four soft scallops. When it is lit the roses stand out in relief and the glass glows deep olive green or light honey amber.
The shade is 14 cm across and the light measures 18 cm from the top of the brass lamp holder to the hem. The holder has its own turn switch, and the twisted gold coloured cord can be set to any length up to 150 cm. It suits cottage bedrooms and kitchens: one hung low beside the bed, a pair over a small kitchen table, or one in a hallway or on a landing.
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included; a warm white filament or LED bulb of around 2200 to 2700K suits the glass best. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains with a 10 cm round ceiling rose, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
