The Theberton is a small bell of leaded stained glass, 16 cm across, made the traditional way from separate glass panels joined with dark leading. The upper ring is white opal glass, small square jewels of yellow green glass sit where the panels meet, and the lower edge is a scalloped band of streaky green glass that glows like a woodland window when the light is on.

It hangs about 19 cm below the ceiling on a short brass neck from a stepped, antique brass finish ceiling canopy 14 cm across, so it suits hallways, landings, porches and bedrooms where a long pendant would be in the way. The open base lets the light fall straight down, while the white and green glass gives the whole space a soft, coloured glow.

It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40 W, not included; a warm white LED bulb of around 2700K brings out the green glass and stays cool. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

Chosen for the finish

We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.

Built for real rooms

We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
