The Darsham is a tulip of leaded stained glass, 20 cm across, made of rounded petals of pale aqua opal glass that alternate with clear seeded glass full of tiny bubbles, all outlined in dark leading. Small round jewels of red glass sit where the petals meet, like the details on an old stained glass lamp.
It fixes directly under a round 10 cm brass ceiling plate and sits just 11 cm below the ceiling, so it suits low ceilings, hallways, landings and small bedrooms. When it is lit, the aqua petals glow softly while the seeded glass sparkles and lets the light through, and the red jewels catch the light around the rim.
It takes one E27 bulb, not included; a warm white LED bulb of around 2700K suits the aqua glass and stays cool so close to the ceiling. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
