The Walpole semi flush is a drum of marbled amber glass, 17 cm across and 9.5 cm tall, with swirls of honey, caramel and cream running through the glass and a softly uneven, hand formed rim. It sits close to the ceiling on a short brass fitting, so it suits hallways, landings and low ceilinged rooms where a hanging pendant would be in the way.
Lit, the marbling glows a deep, warm amber and the light falls straight down through the open base. No two shades are marbled exactly alike, so each one has its own pattern. It is the same glass as our Walpole pendant, so the two can be used together, for example the pendant over a kitchen table and the ceiling light in the hall beyond.
It fixes to the ceiling with a round 10 cm brass ceiling plate and takes one E27 bulb (maximum 40 W), not included; a warm white LED bulb of around 2200 to 2700K brings out the amber. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

Does it match the Walpole pendant?
Yes. It uses the same 17 cm marbled amber glass drum as our Walpole pendant, so the two work well together, for example the pendant over a table and the ceiling light in the hall.
Which bulb should I use?
It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40 W, which is not included. A warm white LED bulb of around 2200 to 2700K brings out the amber glass. Choose a dimmable bulb if it will be on a dimmer switch.
