The Mettingham is a small pendant light with a six sided ceramic shade, glazed and painted by hand. A pale collar at the top carries a fine painted key pattern band, and the shade hangs from a brass finish lamp holder with a small turn switch on the side, on a twisted brown cord, from a round brass finish ceiling plate.

Choose Coral Red, a warm glossy red glaze; Teal, a deep blue green glaze; or Celadon Diamond, a pale celadon glaze painted all over with a dense pattern of small teal diamonds. Because each shade is painted by hand, the pattern varies a little from one to the next. The light shines down from the open base, which makes it lovely in a row over a kitchen island or a breakfast bar, hung low beside a bed, or in a small hallway.

The shade is about 14 cm across and 6 cm tall. The cord adjusts up to 200 cm and the ceiling plate is 12 cm across. It comes with a 4 W E27 LED bulb, and it is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

Is a bulb included?
