The Metfield is a small vintage style pendant light with a tulip shaped bell of moulded glass, 16 cm across and 20 cm tall. Soft ribs sweep down the glass and open into petal shaped points at the hem, so the bulb shows as a warm, textured glow rather than a bare light. It hangs from a brass lamp holder with its own turn switch.
The twisted gold coloured cord can be set to any length up to 150 cm, so it works low beside a bed, in a row of two or three over a kitchen island, or on its own in a cloakroom or on a landing. Choose green for a classic English country look, or amber for a warm, honeyed light. It sits well alongside our Lavenham cut glass pendant in the same green and amber glass.
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included; a warm white filament or LED bulb of around 2200 to 2700K suits the glass best. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains with a 10 cm round ceiling rose, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
