The Kelsale is a semi flush ceiling light with a wide oval shade of ribbed glass, 25 cm across and 13 cm deep, held on a short brass finish stem below a round ceiling plate. Fine vertical ribs run all the way round the shade, so the bulb is softened into an even glow and the glass catches the light from every side.
The whole light drops about 32 cm from the ceiling, which keeps it clear of heads in hallways, landings and bedrooms while still giving a generous spread of light. Choose opal for a soft white glow with no visible bulb, green for a period English look, amber for a warm honeyed light, or smoked grey for a quieter, modern room. It is the larger sister of our 20 cm Thornbury and sits well alongside it on a landing or down a corridor.
It comes with a 6 W warm white E27 LED bulb and is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician in place of an existing ceiling light.
