The Framsden is a wall light with a pendant's charm: a slim L shaped bracket holds a twisted braided cord, and from it hangs a drum of ribbed glass, 17 cm across, in green or clear. The ribs catch the light and throw soft patterns onto the wall, and the cord can be set to hang anywhere up to 70 cm below the arm, so the shade sits just where you want it beside a bed or over a worktop.
Choose how it is powered. The hardwired version has a slim pull chain to switch it on and off at the lamp, in the old fashioned way. The plug in version needs no electrician: it comes with a 1.8 m cable, a button switch on the cable and a UK plug, so it suits rented homes and bedrooms without a wall light point.
The bracket and lamp holder are copper in a warm brass colour, on a round 12 cm wall plate, and the arm reaches 16 cm from the wall. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 60 W, not included; a small warm white LED bulb shows off the ribbed glass.
