The Benhall ceiling light takes the raspberry pink sunflower shade of our Benhall pendant and fixes it close to the ceiling. Ribbed glass petals fan out from a brass lamp holder to a wavy edge, with the bulb showing just below, on a round 10 cm brass ceiling plate.
Choose the 19 cm shade, about 8 cm tall, for hallways, landings and small bedrooms, or the wide 28 cm shade, about 13 cm tall, as the main light in a bedroom or snug. Lit, the deep pink glass glows a warm rose and throws a soft, petal patterned light across the ceiling. The holder has its own turn switch.
Made for rooms where a hanging pendant would be too low, and it pairs with the Benhall pendant in the same glass. It takes one E27 bulb, not included; a warm white globe or filament bulb suits it best. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

The wide 28 cm shade lights a bedroom with a warm rose glow and a petal pattern on the ceiling.

Chosen for the finish
We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.
Built for real rooms
We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
Frequently asked questions
Which size should I choose?
The 19 cm shade suits hallways, landings and small bedrooms. The 28 cm shade works as the main ceiling light in a bedroom, snug or dining room.
Which bulb should I use?
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included. As the bulb shows below the shade, a warm white globe or filament bulb of around 2200 to 2700K looks best.
Is there a matching pendant?
Yes. The Benhall pendant uses the same raspberry pink sunflower glass in 19 cm and 28 cm, so you can hang pendants over a table and use this ceiling light in the hall.
