Key specifications
The Avebury is a round wall light cut from natural alabaster, a soft translucent stone, with a brushed brass centre plate and a fine brass line through the middle. Switched off it is a piece of veined white stone on the wall; switched on, the LED behind it lights the stone from within and the cloudy veining glows warm.
Because it is real stone, no two are exactly alike, and the veining and tone vary a little from piece to piece. It is 20 cm across, sized to sit either side of a fireplace, a mirror or a bed, or as a single accent in a hallway, and it is heavier than a metal fitting of the same size.
The LED is built in, in a warm white, so there is nothing to change. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains and is not dimmable. Because of its weight, fix it into a solid wall or with suitable heavy duty fixings.
