The Wrentham pendant is a faceted dome of textured amber glass, 20 cm across and 12 cm tall, made of rippled panels set in thin dark leading in a geometric pattern, just like a piece of stained glass. It is open underneath, so the light falls down onto the table or worktop while every panel glows a warm honey amber around the bulb.
When it is lit, the leading throws a faint geometric pattern onto the ceiling and walls, and the rippled glass softens the bulb into an even glow. It hangs from a solid brass lamp holder with its own turn switch, on a twisted gold coloured cord that can be set to any length up to 150 cm, with a 10 cm round ceiling rose. It uses the same amber shade as our Wrentham semi flush ceiling light, so the two can be used together, for example a ceiling light in the hall and a pendant over the stairs or the kitchen table.
Hang two over a kitchen island, one over a small dining table, or one low beside the bed. It takes one E27 bulb, not included; a warm white LED or filament bulb of around 2200 to 2700K brings out the amber glass. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
