The Wissett is a pendant light shaped like an open flower: a wide, shallow shade of pressed glass, 21 cm across and 14 cm tall, with moulded petals that flare out into a ruffled rim. The bulb sits just below the glass, so the petals glow with colour while the light falls freely onto the table or worktop below.
Hang two or three over a kitchen island or a dining table, or one beside the bed or in a cloakroom. The twisted gold coloured cord can be set to any length up to 150 cm, and the brass lamp holder has its own turn switch. Choose green for a fresh, garden feel, or amber for a warm, honeyed glow.
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included. Because the bulb shows below the shade, a clear globe or filament bulb of around 2200 to 2700K looks best. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains with a 10 cm round ceiling rose, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
