The Polstead is a small stained glass table lamp in the Tiffany style, with a 20 cm leaded glass dome in a classic baroque pattern: cream and ivory panels over the top, a scrolling band of amber and deep burgundy glass around the hem and a red jewel at the centre of each scroll, all set in dark leading. It stands on a cast column and a round base with a dark bronze finish.

When it is lit, the cream glass glows softly and the amber scrolls turn warm and rich, throwing a gentle pool of light across the table. At 36 cm tall on a 10.5 cm base it suits a hall table, a desk, a bedside table or a windowsill, and a push button switch turns it on and off.

It comes with a UK plug fitted, so it plugs straight into a standard socket with no wiring and no electrician. It takes one screw fit bulb, which is not included; a small warm white LED bulb of around 2700K suits the glass best.
