The Framlingham pendant has a shade shaped like a lotus leaf: a wide, shallow sheet of coloured glass with fine veins running out from the centre and a softly ruffled rim. The bulb hangs just below the leaf, so when it is lit the whole leaf glows and the light falls freely onto the table below. It is the pendant version of our Framlingham ceiling light, in the same green and amber glass.
Choose green, 23 cm across, or amber, 22 cm across; both are 12.5 cm tall from the top of the brass holder to the rim. The holder has its own turn switch, and the twisted gold coloured cord can be set to any length up to 150 cm. Hang one low beside the bed, two over a breakfast bar, or one over a small table.
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included. Because the bulb shows below the shade, a clear globe or filament bulb of around 2200 to 2700K looks best. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains with a 10 cm round ceiling rose, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
