The Framlingham is a semi flush ceiling light with a shade shaped like a lotus leaf: a wide wavy sheet of coloured glass with fine veins running out from the centre, held on a short brass finish stem under a round brass canopy. The bulb sits just below the leaf, so when it is lit the whole leaf glows and the rippled edge throws soft patterns on the ceiling.
Choose soft green glass, 23 cm wide, or warm amber glass, 22 cm wide. Both sit 18 to 19 cm from the ceiling, so they suit low ceilings in kitchens, bedrooms and hallways where a pendant would hang too far down.
It takes one E27 bulb, which is not included, and it is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains.

What is the difference between the two colours?
Only the glass. Green is a soft sage green and 23 cm wide; Amber is a warm honey colour and 22 cm wide. Both hang 18 to 19 cm from the ceiling on the same brass stem and canopy.
Is a bulb included?
No, plan on one E27 bulb. The bulb sits in view just below the leaf, so a decorative filament or globe bulb of around 2700K looks best and avoids glare.
Will it suit a low ceiling?
Yes. It is a semi flush fitting under 20 cm deep, so it suits ceilings of about 2.3 m and up in kitchens, bedrooms and hallways. It is hardwired and should be fitted by a qualified electrician.
