The Brandeston is a linear chandelier of glass globes set along a slim gold bar, some sitting above it and some hanging below, so it reads like a loose string of bubbles rather than a stiff row. Choose seven globes on a 65 cm bar or nine globes on an 83 cm bar, in milky opal, amber or smoked glass.
Opal glass gives a soft, even glow with no glare; the amber globes cast a warm honey light; the smoked globes turn each bulb into a low, moody point of light for evenings. The bar hangs from a round ceiling plate on a slim rod with a fine support wire, and the drop can be set during installation so the bar sits up to about 100 cm below the ceiling.
It is made for long surfaces: a dining table, a kitchen island or a breakfast bar. G9 LED bulbs in warm white (3000K) come in the box, one for every globe; they are not dimmable. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
