Key specifications
The Ashcombe is a wall light with a ribbed glass globe held out from the wall on a curved brass finish arm. The soft vertical ribs in the glass catch the bulb and spread a gentle glow up and down the wall, so it reads as warm and decorative rather than bright.
It stands 19 cm tall and reaches 26 cm from the wall on a 10 cm round wall plate. Hung as a pair either side of a bed it replaces bedside lamps; it also suits a landing, a staircase or either side of a fireplace or mirror. Choose amber for a warm honeyed glow, smoked grey for a quieter modern room, clear to show off the bulb, or green for a period English look.
It takes one E14 bulb (not included); a small warm white LED filament bulb suits the clear and amber glass best. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains and dims with a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch.

Two Ashcombes frame a headboard and free the bedside tables for books and a glass of water.
On a landing or staircase wall it gives a warm, welcoming light without glare.
The ribs in the glass catch the bulb and scatter a gentle light across the wall.

We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.
We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
