The Wortham is a pendant light with a coolie shade of glazed ceramic: a wide, shallow cone with a deep, glossy glaze that catches the light like a well loved piece of kitchen pottery. It hangs from a brass finish lamp holder with a small turn switch on the side, on a twisted brown cord, from a round brass finish ceiling plate.
Choose Jade Green, a rich, deep green glaze, or Celadon, a soft blue green in the tradition of old celadon ware. The ceramic sends a warm pool of light straight down, so it works beautifully over a kitchen island, a table or a worktop, on its own or in a row, and the colour brings a cottage or country kitchen to life even when the light is off.
The shade is 19.5 cm wide and 7.5 cm tall. The cord adjusts up to 200 cm and the ceiling plate is 12 cm across. It comes with a 4 W E27 LED bulb, and it is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
