The Nacton is a slim, classic wall light: a round brushed brass wall plate, a short arm and an upright brass stem holding a white tapered fabric shade. It stands 30 cm tall and sits about 16 cm out from the wall, a size that suits a bedside, a hallway or either side of a mirror.
The fabric shade gives a soft, even light that glows through the shade and spills up and down the wall, and a small turn switch on the holder lets you use it as a reading light. It is the upright partner to our Halcombe swan neck and Hintlesham linen shade wall lights.
It takes one E14 bulb, not included; a 4 W warm white LED suits it well. It is a hardwired wall fitting for standard UK mains and dry indoor rooms, to be installed by a qualified electrician.
