The Brightwell is a dome of clear glass pressed with fine ribs all the way round, hung from a brass finish lamp holder on a twisted brown fabric cord. Lit, the ribs spread the light evenly and catch it in soft lines across the glass; unlit, it is a classic clear prismatic shade that suits a kitchen, a dining room or a hallway.
Choose 21.5 cm across and 15 cm tall, or 25 cm across and 17.5 cm tall. The cord can be set to any length up to 200 cm, so it works in a row of two or three over a kitchen island, above a dining table, or on its own on a landing or beside a bed.
An E27 LED bulb (4 W) is included, and the holder takes bulbs up to 60 W. It is a hardwired ceiling fitting for standard UK mains and dry indoor rooms, to be installed by a qualified electrician. It sits well with our Kirton cut glass globe and Lavenham cut glass bell pendants.

A row over the island
Two or three domes in a row over a kitchen island give bright, even light for cooking and a soft sparkle in the evening.
Over the dining table
One dome above a round table lights the meal well and leaves the rest of the room soft and warm.
Ribbed like old prismatic glass
Fine ribs pressed into the clear glass spread the light evenly and catch it in soft lines across the dome.

Chosen for the finish
We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.
Built for real rooms
We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
