The Melford is a small stained glass table lamp in the Tiffany style, with a 20 cm leaded shade of ivory glass panels above a darker scalloped border set with small red glass jewels. It stands on an ornate cast column and a round base with a dark bronze finish.
Lit, the ivory glass glows a soft, warm white and the border picks out the jewels, so it gives a brighter light than the busier coloured designs while keeping their period charm. At 36 cm tall on a 10.5 cm base it suits a bedside table, a desk, a hall table or a windowsill, and a push button switch turns it on and off.
It comes with a UK plug fitted, so it plugs straight into a standard socket with no wiring and no electrician. It takes one screw fit bulb, which is not included; a small warm white LED bulb of around 2700K suits the glass best.

Chosen for the finish
We choose each design for how its surface handles light: natural travertine, brushed brass, aged bronze or ribbed glass. The finish is part of the design, not an afterthought.
Built for real rooms
We design for homes that get lived in, not showrooms that get photographed. Warm, unobtrusive light. A scale that suits an ordinary ceiling. Finishes that age rather than wear out.
