The Hitcham is a wide, shallow coolie pendant in white glazed porcelain, hand painted with a blue floral scroll and finished with a band of darker pattern around the rim. The shade hangs from a brass finish holder with a turn switch on a twisted fabric cord, and it comes in three sizes: 20.5 cm for a bedside or a narrow hall, 23.5 cm over a breakfast table, and 25.5 cm for a kitchen island or a dining table.
Lit, the shade throws a warm, even light down from its open underside while the painted top catches the light from the room, so it reads as a piece of china as much as a light. It sits well with the Bungay and Reydon pendants and with any blue and white kitchen or dresser.
The cord adjusts up to 200 cm and the ceiling plate is 12 cm. A 4 W E27 LED bulb is included (the holder takes up to 60 W). It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

Is a bulb included?
Yes, a 4 W E27 LED bulb comes with the light. The holder takes any E27 bulb up to 60 W, so you can fit a brighter or a dimmable LED if you prefer.
Can the cord be shortened?
Yes. The twisted fabric cord adjusts at the ceiling plate up to 200 cm, so the shade can hang high over an island or low over a table.
