The Chillesford is a bell of warm amber glass, 15 cm across and 20 cm tall, smooth and clear enough to show the bulb inside, with a band of raised flowers and leaves pressed into the glass just above the flared rim. It hangs from a brass finish holder with a turn switch on a twisted fabric cord under a round 10 cm brass finish ceiling plate.
Lit, the amber glass turns the light the colour of honey and the embossed flowers catch it in little highlights. A pair over a round table or a single one by a landing window gives an evening glow that suits old houses and new ones alike. It matches the amber Parham pendant and the other amber glass in the shop.
The cord adjusts up to 150 cm. It takes one E27 bulb, not included; a 4 to 6 W warm white LED globe or a small filament bulb suits the clear amber glass best. It is a hardwired fitting for standard UK mains, to be installed by a qualified electrician.

Can I see the bulb through the glass?
Yes, the amber glass is smooth and clear, so the bulb shows through. A small filament style LED looks best; a frosted golf ball LED gives a softer, more even glow.
Is a bulb included?
No. It takes one E27 screw fit bulb; a 4 to 6 W warm white LED suits the amber glass best and stays cool inside the shade.
Can I hang two or three together?
Yes. Each light has its own 10 cm ceiling plate, so two can hang over a table from two ceiling points about 60 cm apart, or three in a row over a longer table or a bar.
