The Claydon is a classic stem sconce that needs no wiring at all. A slim polished brass rod rises from a round wall plate to a tapered shade of clear ribbed glass, with a pointed brass finial at the bottom, and the light comes from a rechargeable LED bulb that screws into the holder. The ribs in the glass break the light into sparkle on the wall, so it suits a hallway mirror, a bedside or a dining room where a hardwired light cannot go.
The bulb is dimmable from the remote control, with three white tones from warm to cool, colour modes and a timer. It charges with the USB C cable supplied and runs for about 20 hours at full brightness and up to about 98 hours dimmed low. The stem comes in two lengths: fit it with the lower rod for a 44 cm light, or without it for 32 cm. The shade is 13 cm across and the wall plate 10 cm.
Choose Single for one light, or Pair for two matching lights to flank a mirror or a bed. It is an accent light rather than a main room light, for dry indoor rooms. Each light comes with its bulb, remote and charging cable.
